Visit to Child Care Centre
On Friday 14th May, Betty visited the Child Care Centre where it all began - and took the book 'Mrs Echidna's Dilemma' with her!
OnFriday 14th May, I visited the child care centre where it all began! It was great to see how the 3-4 year olds could relate the pictures in the book to the artwork on the quilts I took with me. Thanks to the parents for allowing me to take the photos.
After reading the story, and doing some action songs related to the theme, we made a hand puppet of Mrs Echidna using a brown paper bag. The children discussed her snout and what she ate; had great fun with the spines and eyes, and even put a jelly-bean in the 'pocket' - because that's the size of a puggle when it first hatches!
