Title: Christmas at Patchwork Angel, Forest Glen
The iconic Patchwork Angel at Forest Glen has a Christmas Celebration on Friday 3rd December, and Betty Johnston will be their guest speaker for the event.

The 'Patchwork Angel' is a favourite destination for patchworkers and stitchers on the Sunshine Coast, and a 'must visit' for any quilt-lovers touring the area. You really need to look at their website to get an idea of all that they offer...

What better way to celebrate the end of the year than with friends?  It was obvious as the women arrived that the relationship Penny has with them goes waaay beyond 'customers'!  It was a light-hearted morning, with lots of give aways, plus raffles and even and auction, with the proceeds going to Juvenille Diabetes Research.

My 'Mrs Echidna' quilts were displayed, and I shared with them the process of making the quilts - the inspiration and the perspiration!  So many ask me, 'How DO you make all those bullions?'. I gave them a quick demo - as with most crafts, an onerous task suddenly becomes simplified once you know the 'insider's tricks' to accomplishing your goal!  Penny now has 3 of my patterns available for purchase - the Possum in 3D and blackwork, and the blackwork Kookaburra.  I was able to show them the Possum stitched on 14count Aida [the original was done on 28 ct Jobelin]  - check out the photo!

As well as the quilts, I brought some of my early childhood resources.  Puppets have a universal appeal, as you could see as soon as the ladies tried them out!  Patterns for the 5 Cheeky Monkeys and 3 Pigs Diorama are also availbale from my website, and from the Patchwork Angel.
